Who gets your vote for best King Arthur? How about worst?
- Cedric Hardwicke (1949)
- Mel Ferrer (1953)
- Rickie Sorenson (1963)
- Richard Harris (1967)
- Graham Chapman (1975)
- Nigel Terry (1981)
- Sean Connery (1995)
- Paul Curran (1998)
- Edward Atterton (2001)
- Clive Owen (2004)
Think that's enough choices?!? Click on a name if you're not sure what movie I'm referring to. Once again, this post has made me want to add movies to my Netflix queue: Merlin and The Mists of Avalon.
Bonus:
Can anyone tell me how this guy is related to the Arthurian legend?
No question about it - Graham Chapman has to take top honours! I'm not sure who should get the booby prize. Nigel Terry was a bit weedy in Excalibur but I like the film so much i'm reluctant to nominate him.

Anything with Sean Connery HAS to be the best - BUT, unfortunately, it is not. I like the Richard Harris OK - first I ever saw. Didn't like Mists of Avalon and haven't seen Merlin. Adam told me to see the Clive Owen, so I guess I'll add that to my list - oh, that's right, I don't have a list!

Not many people seem to have liked the Clive Owen rendition. I thought Keira Knightley was a little unbelievable, but otherwise it wasn't too bad. I watched the movie while on a youth retreat. We were fasting at the time and I was tired and hungry. It's hard, therefore, for me to make a definite judgment about the movie!

I think that guy looks like Justin Timberlake... what's he got to do with King Arthur??
I enjoyed Sean Connery as King Arthur in First Knight... enjoyed Richard Gere a little more.........
I never saw the other movies so I don't even know why I'm commenting.

You're right...that's Justin Timberlake. Now who can guess how he's related to the Arthurian legend?

My vote goes to Graham Chapman for best Arthur and to Nigel Terry for the worst. To be honest, I don't think I've ever seen all of Excalibur, but what I do remember was that it had a freakish vibe to it. On the other hand, if I were to sit through all of First Knight, I might choose it instead.
Did I mention I haven't seen half of these? ;-)
