Just Me

I just calculated that I've taught over 14,000 lessons in my public school teaching career - that's not counting about 10,000 as a substitue. Somewhere in there I think I taught at least one good lesson - maybe I don't need to do 100,000 bad ones first, maybe I just need to recognize that bad ones might still exist within me and work to insure that they don't come out too frequently. I wouldn't mind retiring with a whole store of bad lessons still buried deep inside. We don't want you arrogant, but we do want you to be able to recognize the good ones when you write them - or to believe others when they tell you you've written a good one.

That line was a big inspiration to me too whenever I produced work that just sucked :P

Thanks for stopping by, Alvin. I tried to leave a comment on your post, but it kept telling me I was typing in the security code wrong.
