Measuring Day
Monday is measuring day for my vertical leap training program. I don't have an actual workout to do, but I do measure to see if I've made any improvements. Last week I started out with a vertical leap of 21 inches. That doesn't exactly make me a candidate for a dunking contest!
My goal is to increase my vertical leap by 15 inches, which is equivalent to a 1 inch increase per week. Well you will pleased to know that I'm right on schedule. I just went down to a basketball court to measure and I now am the proud owner of a 22 inch vertical leap!
I've been thinking about how no one seems to make New Year's resolutions anymore, so I've included the poll below. Answer yes or no and then leave me a comment about why you answered the way you did.
Update: I changed poll companies because the other one wasn't working. Vote away!
Update to the update: The new one isn't working either. Oh well, just leave a comment.
I don't limit my resolutions to New Years.

I tend to end up disappointing myself when I make resolutions - not very good at all at keeping them - at least not for long.

Oh yeah, I'm all about the resolutions. They haven't been envogue for awhile, so all the better to set them.. But no, I don't actually achieve many of them. A couple of years ago it was to meet a new group of friends, paint a picture, write a song and go canoeing. I did them all exept canoeing.. I still want to do that so I can eventually canoe the Bowron Lakes in Northern B.C. and officially become "a MAN".

It's never to late try things, right? Two years ago my wife and I studied kung fu for a while. It was something I had always dreamed of doing. I will probably never take it up again, but I'm glad I got to try it.
