I have been advised! Yesterday, I got my class request card signed off by an advisor. I will only be taking three classes, but I have four on my list because one of the classes only has one spot left. If I get in the class than I can drop one of two others. Here's what I'm looking at (you can click on any of the titles to see the detailed course descriptions):
Orientation to Theological Study
Tuesday, 3-6
Delbert Gray
This is what I'm calling my "Seminary for Dummies" class. It deals with research and writing skills.
Hebrew Prophets
Monday & Wednesday, 11-1
Mignon R. Jacobs
This is one of my biblical studies requirements. It'll be great to "better understand the historical
and cultural situations of the prophetic books..."
Medieval and Reformation History
Tuesday & Thursday, 1-3
Katherine H. L. Ahn
One of my church history requirements. I'm interested in the subject, but it's not exactly one I'm dying to take.
Theology and Film
Monday, 6:30-10
Robert K. Johnston
This is exactly the kind of class that drew me to Fuller. Unfortunately, it's a popular class.
If I manage to get into "Theology and Film," I will drop either "Hebrew Prophets" or the history class. Perhaps I'll drop history simply because then I'll have Thursdays free.
