There is a good conversation going on over at the emergent-us blog.  The conversation was started by Tony Jones, who made an observation about the origins of much of the criticism the emerging church has received as of late.  Check it out and let me know what you think.

Thanks. I'm not happy with where the conversation went, but it started off well!

I think this question remains: Are there some instances where it is fruitless to continue an argument with someone? I think so. I think we ought to be careful that we don't just ignore criticism or differing opinions, but that doesn't mean we should waste time that might, in some cases, be better spent.
